Do you ever feel like you’re the only one?

death denial death literacy willow workshops Nov 22, 2023

Are you one of those people who enjoys talking about things related to your mortality? I mean, you understand that you’re going to die eventually and you want to be prepared. You want to die in peace leaving the least possible “mess” to those you’ll leave behind. Or you’re fascinated by how knowing that your life is precious and finite, actually impacts the way you live.

Do you feel alone in this place? Do you feel like nobody you know wants to talk about it with you? If yes, you’re NOT alone in that! lol

We often blame our death-denying culture to be the source of this problem, but I disagree. We have to take a closer look at one of the underlying reasons why people tend to avoid addressing their inevitable death.

One main reason is because we don’t talk about our inevitable death in a way that nurtures our personal growth and our connection with everything and everyone that is important to us.

Exploring the reality of your mortality should leave you feeling enriched, energized, and connected.

If you’ve been following me and Willow for a while, you’ll know that I’m not driven by people getting all their end-of-life planning forms filled in.

What drives me is the process of self discovery that’s possible when people prepare and think about their end-of-life. And it’s that self discovery that will propel people to get all their end-of-life planning forms filled in, and documents in place.

Being alone is optional!

If you feel alone in wanting to use death as a tool to connect with all that's important to you, then I have great news for you. You don’t have to be alone! All you have to do is check out the Willow events page to see what virtual or in-person Willow Workshops® are coming up that you can attend.

And if you happen to be one of the hundreds of folks who attended or watched the free webinar in the previous months, and you’re considering joining the Willow EOL Educator® program, but don’t know what all the fuss is about, come and engage with us at an upcoming Willow Workshop®. There's no better way for you to get a sense of whether the program is right for you.
